1982 Engelhard "The American Prospector" 1 oz Silver Round

Minted by the legendary Engelhard Corporation, the American Prospector is one of the most iconic and recognizable private-mint bullion rounds ever produced.

Obverse: Features a classic depiction of a bearded prospector crouched over a gold pan at a riverbank, flanked by the text "U.S.A." and the year 1982, with "THE AMERICAN PROSPECTOR" inscribed along the lower rim.  

Reverse: Displays the classic Large "E" logo overlaid on a globe, surrounded by the inscriptions "ENGELHARD" and "ONE TROY OUNCE .999+ FINE SILVER", which distinguishes the early 1982–1984 production run.
